DM Engine ("we") provides comment-to-DM automation for Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages that their owners explicitly connect to our service. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
What we collect
- Your connected Instagram account or Facebook Page ID, display name, platform, and the access token you authorize through Meta.
- Comments on your posts that trigger an automation, and a log of the DMs we send on your behalf.
How we use it
Solely to operate the automations you configure: detecting qualifying comments and sending the direct message you specify. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Storage & security
Access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Data is stored in a managed Postgres database and accessible only to the account operator.
Data deletion
You may disconnect your account at any time, which deletes your tokens, automations, and logs. You can also request deletion via Instagram's connected apps settings, which triggers our automated deletion callback.
